Malaysian Moto3 racer, Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli displayed remarkable composure at the 2026 French Grand Prix, navigating a treacherous and rain-soaked Le Mans circuit to secure a commendable 10th-place finish.

In a high-stakes Moto3 encounter where nearly half the field failed to see the checkered flag due to slippery conditions, the Terengganu-born rider successfully banked six valuable championship points.

Representing the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSI team, Hakim Danish started the race from 12th on the grid following an impressive showing in the dry sessions earlier in the weekend. However, a sudden downpour prior to the start forced the team to adopt a wet-weather setup without the benefit of prior data or practice sessions in the rain at this specific venue.

The race, shortened to 13 laps, was dominated by Maximo Quiles of the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar team, who took the victory with a time of 24:41.640s. Hakim Danish finished 21.487s adrift of the leader but ahead of several seasoned competitors who fell victim to the slick surface.

Following the race, Hakim Danish admitted that while he initially attempted to break into the leading group after a strong start, a lack of confidence in the bike’s stability on the wet track forced a tactical shift. He opted for a safer, more consistent rhythm to ensure he finished the race rather than risking a crash by overextending his pace.

“Alhamdulillah, I managed to finish the race at Le Mans in the top 10. In a race held in rainy conditions, I had a good start and tried to stay with the front group,” Hakim Danish said following the event.

The 17-year-old remains optimistic about his progress, noting that his performance during the dry practice and qualifying sessions—where he consistently broke into the Q2 session—indicates a significant upward trajectory in his competitive form.

Hakim Danish now sits 15th in the overall standings with 18 points as he turns his focus toward the upcoming round at the Catalunya circuit.
