Malaysia Sweeps Series 4-0 Against Indonesia After Commanding Five-Wicket Victory

The Malaysian national cricket team officially clinched a 4-0 series victory over Indonesia after securing a five-wicket win in the final T20 International at the Bayuemas Oval in Klang. Indonesia, batting first, struggled significantly against the Malaysian bowling attack and was restricted to 73 for nine in their allotted 20 overs. Left-arm bowler Pavandeep Singh delivered a decisive performance, claiming four wickets for just three runs, while Rahim Khan Malik added to the pressure by taking 3-16.

Malaysia’s run chase faced an early setback when the team fell to 13-2, but Syahadat Ramli restored the innings with an unbeaten 33 runs off 40 balls. Partnering with Vidandeep Singh, who contributed 18 runs, Syahadat guided Malaysia to a total of 74 for five in 15.1 overs to seal the series sweep. Pavandeep Singh was ultimately named the man-of-the-series for his total of eight wickets across the tournament, bringing his career tally to 108 wickets in 87 T20 matches.

National captain Syed Aziz Syed Mubarak expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, noting that they successfully carried the momentum from their double-gold achievement at the Thailand SEA Games last December. He attributed the clean sweep to the team’s ability to focus on the basics and maintain discipline throughout a series of tough matches. Moving forward, the squad looks to maintain this high level of form as they prepare for their next international tournament.
