Maqna Esports Club (MEC) has been officially crowned the champions of the PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL) Malaysia Spring 2026 after delivering a commanding performance from the league stage through to the Grand Finals. The championship-winning lineup, consisting of KEEM, FEXCRY, SYAMIL, VOKEY, and IFTAR, demonstrated remarkable tactical discipline and consistency throughout the three-day competition to finish at the top of the leaderboard with 232 points. For their victory, the team earned the national title along with a top prize of USD 12,250.
The race for the podium remained highly competitive until the final matchday, with Team 52 securing second place with 201 points and AZ Slumber finishing third with 173 points. These top three teams have all earned the right to represent Malaysia at the upcoming PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) Season 1: Southeast Asia Finals in Thailand. Although Vertice mounted a significant late-day surge by recording two Winner Winner Chicken Dinners (WWCD) and the highest points haul of the final round, they ultimately fell short of qualification by a narrow margin of only five points.
A standout highlight of the tournament was the historic debut of rookie sensation FEXCRY, who was named the Finals Most Valuable Player (FMVP). This achievement followed his previous recognition as the League MVP, making him the first player to complete such a rare double in a single professional season. His exceptional individual performance earned him an additional cash prize of USD 500, cementing his status as one of the brightest emerging talents in the Malaysian esports scene.
Reflecting on the victory, team captain Imran “Vokey” Rosli acknowledged that the win is just the beginning for the squad.
“We have a few things that we need to improve on when we get to the SEA Finals,” Imran stated, expressing his gratitude to the fans while promising that the team will do their best in Thailand.
PUBG MOBILE Malaysia Product Manager Ashley Phuah praised the success of the tournament, noting that the dominance of a debutant like FEXCRY perfectly illustrates the “synergy between experienced veterans and the next generation of esports players”. With the domestic season concluded, MEC and the other qualifying teams are now shifting their focus toward battling Southeast Asia’s best athletes in Bangkok.

“I never thought I’d enjoy training this much until joining Sportif. The coaches are supportive and really know how to bring out the best in you.”
