ZK Racing has been officially appointed by the Guangzhou Conghua International Circuit (GCIC) to serve as the organizer and promoter for the FIM MotoMini China Championship, marking a major international recognition for Malaysia’s grassroots motorsport development.
The partnership was formalized during a Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony held recently in Guangzhou, China.
ZK Racing Director, Zulfahmi Khairuddin, stated that GCIC’s decision was based on the proven success of the MotoMini Malaysia program. The competitive and structured nature of the Malaysian platform served as the primary model for China’s own grassroots expansion.
“Previously, we welcomed riders from China to compete in MotoMini Malaysia. This allowed them to evaluate the high standards of our organization and the development path we have built here,” Zulfahmi explained in a statement today.
In March, GCIC representatives visited ZK Racing’s headquarters to conduct an in-depth review of the team’s operational structure, management, and development models.
As the organizers of the FIM MiniGP Malaysia since 2020, ZK Racing will now play a pivotal role in upgrading FIM MotoMini China. Their focus will be on technical operations and event management, ensuring the Chinese series meets the same rigorous standards established in Malaysia.
Zulfahmi added that this collaboration is an honor not just for ZK Racing, but for the entire Malaysian motorsport ecosystem, proving that the nation’s grassroots programs are now gaining international acclaim.
The partnership will see immediate action this August with the Guangzhou OHVALE Cup, a massive event expected to draw over 100 riders from across Asia. ZK Racing will act as consultants for the event’s management and technical aspects to ensure international-standard execution.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening grassroots motorsport across Asia, fostering a valuable exchange of expertise and elevating organizational standards to a higher level.
