Ahmad Khalish Leads Paper Rex to Fourth VCT Pacific League Title in Vietnam

Malaysia’s esports star, Ahmad Khalish Rusyaidee Nordin, famously known as “d4v41,” has once again hoisted the regional crown, guiding Paper Rex (PRX) to an emphatic victory at the 2026 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific Stage 1 Grand Finals.

The Singapore-based powerhouse completed a dominant 3-0 clean sweep against Thailand’s FULL SENSE on Sunday at the Thiskyhall Sala Convention Centre, securing their historic fourth Pacific League championship.

The Kelantan-born Khalish, a rock in PRX’s star-studded starting lineup, stood tall alongside teammates Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto—who bagged the Grand Final MVP honors—Singaporean Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie, Russian Ilia “something” Petrov, and Filipino Adrian Jiggs “invy” Aisa Reyes.

Despite the sweeping scoreline, the grand final was a hard-fought affair on every map, but PRX’s trademark second-half composure proved to be the ultimate difference maker.

FULL SENSE struck first on their map pick, Pearl, pulling ahead with a 7-5 lead at halftime. However, PRX locked down their defensive setups after the break, executing an 8-3 run to seal a 13-10 comeback victory.

On Lotus, both teams locked horns in a 6-6 first-half deadlock. Once again, PRX elevated their tactical game after the side swap, outclassing the Thai squad 7-3 to take the second map 13-9.

The final battle on Fracture followed a identical blueprint. After another tense 6-6 tie in the opening half, Khalish and his squad unleashed sharper defensive reads and cleaner executes to close out the map 13-10, officially triggering the championship celebrations.

“We have to fix our pistol round and maybe post-plant, I guess. I think we’ll be so much better if we could do that,” Ahmad Khalish shared during his post-match interview. “But we’re Paper Rex, so you never know.”

PRX’s path to the trophy was a testament to their resilience. After finishing atop Group Alpha with a 4-1 record, they were stunned 1-2 by Global Esports in the playoffs, forcing them into a grueling lower-bracket run. Undeterred, PRX fought tooth and nail, eliminating DRX (2-1) and taking down their next opponents before getting sweet revenge on Global Esports (2-1) to punch their grand final ticket.

With this triumph, Paper Rex walks away with 10 crucial Championship Points and secures the coveted No. 1 seed from the Pacific League for both VALORANT Masters London and the upcoming Esports World Cup.
